The countryside around Wilmington, NY, offers all of this for road cyclists and will be offering it up with special bonuses during the Ride for the River weekend on July 17-18.
Our ride spot this month takes us to the Essex Chain of Lakes south of Newcomb. It’s hard to believe today that for a century this area was a bustling logging operation and off limits to the public.
Our Bike Adirondacks Partner of the Month for June are the fine folks at the Paradox Brewery, who have a brand spanking new 25,000 square foot brewery just off Exit 29 of I-87 in North Hudson.
It’s been a long time coming, but the Adirondack Rail Trail between Lake Placid and Tupper Lake is finally becoming a reality. Construction of the 34-mile trail began in September of last year and has started with the removal of rails and ties along the trail route.
