Brenda Bennett
Brenda Bennett spent her early years in Tupper Lake where she fell in love with the mountain life, skiing at Big Tupper, canoeing in the numerous lakes and ponds, riding bikes in the shadow of the high peaks, running, golfing and swimming. After 7 years in Rome she returned to Paul Smiths College and had the privilege of working at the 1980 Olympics where the highlight of her employment was not only witnessing the USA Hockey team win gold but tending bar for them as they celebrated. Brenda eventually ended up in the beautiful St. Lawrence River Valley where she resides today an hour from her beloved mountains. On September 27, 2015 she became a 46R after running Ragnar ADK on Saturday and then summiting and descending Whiteface Mountain successfully. She then completed her Winter 46 on Iroquois Mountain on March 5, 2017. Biking became a major part of her life upon retirement after 34 years at SUNY Potsdam when she was asked to join a relay team as the biker in the Tupper Lake Tinman.
